It’s Sunday so I bet you and your hungover mates are slobbing out half watching last nights X Factor and silently waiting until someone cracks and ventures out in search for food in the barren wasteland that is Paris on a Sunday. No-one is moving and your rumbling stomach is steadily getting louder. Well we have a solution that means you won’t have to leave your chambre de bonne or get a payday bank loan.
Take Eat Easy is one of a slew of new food delivery services that will bring freshly cooked food from different Parisian restaurants to your doorstep. The biggest benefit of this service as apposed to your normal take-away delivery is that if you’ve indulged all weekend you can order something a little lighter. The Bagel Shop is on there, as is The Grilled Cheese Factory. You can order the famous vegetable stew from Bob’s Kitchen or some healthy sushi.
How it works?
Order from one of your favourite restaurants on their website or mobile app. Enter your address, pick a restaurant, select your dishes and confirm your order in just a few clicks. The restaurant freshly prepares your food and then a bicycle courier delivers it.
We opted for Hanks Vegan Burger as we’d wanted to check out their restaurant anyway. The meal deal is €11 and for that you get a burger of your choice, a side and a drink. I had the ‘L’ALLUMÉ’ burger (smoked barbecue sauce, red peppers, home made veggie steak, lettuce, red onions, pickles and tomatoes) with a side of wedges and an organic cola.
It was delicious, tasted fresh and was filling. But the best bit? It only actually cost me €6. Using this voucher code we got €10 off our order. And they also have a scheme where you can then get your friends to order and quote your personal code which credits your account with €10. Dollar dollar bills y’all.
